Alia gave the ivory and gold palette a nod and opted for a hand-dyed ivory organza saree with fine tilla embroidery paired with a hand-woven tissue veil for her recent wedding with Ranbir Kapoor. Giving overdone makeup a break, her makeup artist Puneet B Saini created a fresh minimal makeup look for Alia that accentuated her real beauty.
Ankita lived her bridal moment in an intricately hand-embroidered gold lehenga by designer Manish Malhotra from his Nooraniyat collection. With antique zardosi artwork in geometric detailing, she paired it with a sheer trailing veil. It took 1600 hours to make the lehenga.
Making the unconventional bridal look hep, Anushka was a trendsetter with her minimalistic bridal look. Looking pretty in pastels, Anushka wore a Sabyasachi lehenga with beautiful renaissance embroidery in vintage English colours studded with pearls and beads. It took 32 days and 67 karigars to complete the ensemble.
Unlike Sonam Kapoor who went all traditional red for her wedding look, her sister Rhea Kapoor opted for a classic white and gold saree by her favourite designer Anamika Khanna. She completed her look with a vintage veil studded with little pearls.
Mira’s pink pastel wedding attire by designer Anamika Khanna was all about exquisite artisanship. With 3D floral embroidery and fine zardozi work, it took 67 artisans and 48 days to make it.
Neha opted for an understated powder pink lehenga crafted by ace designer Anita Dongre. With the subtle Rajasthani embroideries and gotapatti zardozi work, it made for the perfect daytime ceremony outfit.
The popular television actress wore a customised white bridal lehenga designed by Tamanna Punjabi Kapoor. The lehenga was adorned with gota-patti embroidery paired with a floral embroidered sheer dupatta.
While most brides ditched red for pink or white ensembles, Anushka’s bridal look was quite unconventional. Defying the age-old traditional red outfit, she picked a lilac lehenga by designer Mohini Chabria and looked ethereal.
For her nikah ceremony, the ‘Bigg Boss 7’ winner looked radiant in an ivory sharara set with intricate gold and silver embroidery by designer Saira Shakira from her label, Laam.
The ‘Aisha’ actress defined simplicity and elegance in the best way possible. Dressed in a classic white Sabyasachi lehenga, embellished with bugle beads, hand-cut sequins, crystals and pearls, she looked phenomenal.
