Netflix series ‘Emily In Paris’ has been popular amongst the masses. The hit romantic comedy series has been reinstalled now for seasons 3 and 4. While we wait eagerly for the next two seasons, here’s how the lead actors have swamped us with their chic outfits.
The titular character of Emily, played by actress Lily Collins, embraces her ‘very American’ unapologetic maximalism on chic Parisian streets. In season 2, she pairs a pearl neckpiece with a big Valentino red belt, there’s a whole lot of colour play happening making it clear that Emily hasn’t lost any of her affinity for colour.
In one of the episodes, Emily experiments with multiple patterns and colours all together in a single outfit: A yellow blazer, a checkered tank top, a multicoloured skirt and lavender knee-high boots.
We get to see drama between Emily and her French friend, Camille; both the characters' wardrobe remains contrastingly charming. While Emily’s style remains cheerful, Camille continues to be chic and minimal. In one of the episodes, the latter wears a smart checked A-line dress with flouncy sleeves giving a dramatic edge.
When Emily wore a heart print dress, it screamed old hollywood glamour in Paris. She steals the show with puffed hair and a scarf tied as a headband.
Emily’s other friend Mindy, who is Chinese, is all about glitzy and colourful outfits. In a sequin-lined pantsuit with an over the top neckpiece, the two friends prove that sometimes ‘more is better’.
'Emily in Paris' offers an insight into the differences in typical French and American sense of style. We cannot wait for the fun costumes in the next seasons.
For season 3, Emily is back in her ‘tres-chic’ avatar, dressed in checked co-ord sets, white sunglasses and headscarves.
