One of the most inspirational and iconic women, global pop star Rihanna announced her pregnancy with longtime beau rapper A$AP Rocky via a release of a street shot by photographer Diggzy, who is touted by Vogue as ‘fashion’s favourite paparazzi.’
The series of images posted online has the Barbadian born-singer and fashion mogul in a casual bright pink puffer jacket with loose-fitted jeans accessorised by a colourful body chain and a Chanel chain belt. While A$AP Rocky wore leather pants, a denim jacket, a hooded varsity sweater, and a black beanie.
Although the duo was sighted together always since 2019, it was in Met Gala 2021 when they went ‘official’. Rihanna was dressed in a statement Balenciaga outfit while A$AP Rocky quite literally wore a colourful ‘quilt’ outfit with patchwork.
It was back in 2013 when Rihanna agreed to play A$AP Rocky’s onscreen love interest for his song ‘Fashion Killa’ and netizens have been rooting for this duo ever since.
Fast forward to 2019, the duo was spotted at Paris Fashion Week complementing each other’s outfits for the late Virgil Abloh’s debut Louis Vuitton Show. While Rihanna was clad in a head-to-toe white avatar, A$AP Rocky was sporting an all-black look with a white pearl necklace.
Bringing their A-game on the red carpet, for the British Fashion Awards in 2019, Rihanna opted for a full-mint green look with a satin dress, gloves, wrap, and heels and Rocky went for a classic slouchy black suit.
For Rihanna’s lingerie and cosmetic line, Fenty - A$AP Rocky appeared in the official campaign highlighting that skincare is not gender-biased.
In many of the couple’s paparazzi snaps, the duo always follows a monochrome and colour-coordinated palette.
There are few couples who dress as well as Rihanna and A$AP Rocky complementing each other. We look forward to seeing the chicest parents in town in 2022!
