​Tulip Garden

​Asia’s largest tulip garden, the Indira Gandhi Memorial Tulip Garden is one of the must-visit attractions in Srinagar, Kashmir, by the end of March. The state's tourism board along with the floriculture department hosts a Tulip Festival, where tourists and locals can witness the flowers in full bloom.

​Chasme Shahi Garden

​One of the Mughal Gardens in Kashmir, the Chasme Shahi Garden is located at the foothills of the Zabarwan mountain range and overlooks the Dal Lake. It was built on the orders of Mughal emperor Shah Jahan in 1632. It is said that the garden was a gift by the emperor for his eldest son Prince Dara Shikoh.

​Pari Mahal Garden

​The seven-terraced garden in Srinagar is part of Pari Mahal aka Palace of Fairies that overlooks the entire city. It is more of a historical monument than a garden but the seven terrace gardens with their interesting array of flora are a sight for sore eyes.

​Shalimar Bagh

​Another stunning Mughal Garden in Srinagar, located on the banks of the famous Dal Lake, the Shalimar Bagh was built as a symbol of love built by Emperor Jehangir for his queen Noor Jahan. The highlights of this garden are its mesmerising fountains, terrace lawns, and the rows of flowers and Chinar trees.

​Nishat Bagh

​Nishat Bagh aka Garden of Joy was designed by Noor Jahan's brother, Asaf Khan, and is one of the Mughal Gardens in Srinagar. Nestled on the east side of Dal Lake, Nishat Bagh gardens are blooming with colourful roses, lilies, and geranium, among other flowers.

​Jawaharlal Nehru Memorial Botanical Garden

​The Jawaharlal Nehru Memorial Botanical Garden is a well-manicured space with a small lake of its own. It was built as a memorial for Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. There are four sections in this garden: recreational, botanical, research, and plant introduction.
