Whether you are in a relationship or single, this timeless romantic song is bound to give you the feels. A classic, this was written by Raja Mehdi and composed by Madan Mohan for the 1964 film ‘Woh Kaun Thi’.
The melody queen once mentioned that she hadn’t initially liked this song very much. What changed her mind later was Vijay Anand’s director and actor Waheeda Rehman’s performance. ‘Aaj Phir Jeene Ki Tamanna Hai’ was part of the 1965 film ‘Guide’, which had the legendary Dev Anand as its lead.
An instant hit, Mangeshkar recorded ‘Jiya Jale’ for ‘Dil Se’ (1998), which was picturised on Preity Zinta. The lyrics for this number were written by Gulzar and AR Rahman composed the music – what a combo, right?
Another melodious track by the ‘Nightingale of Bollywood’ Lata Mangeshkar, ‘Aap Ki Nazron Ne Samjha’ was part of ‘Anpadh’, which was released in 1962.
Mangeshkar gave us this soulful love song in 1967. It was part of veteran actor Rajesh Khanna’s film ‘Baharon Ke Sapne’.
