She’s back! ‘Rolling In The Deep’ singer Adele just dropped a music video for her latest single track, ‘Oh My God’. It is a song that gives us a peek into her journey of love and loss after her divorce in 2019.
Not just ‘Oh My God’ but her 2021 single ‘Easy On Me’, and other songs, tell us her story, and there’s a lot to learn from the lyrics. Adele’s life may not have been perfect, but it is one that you can learn a lot from. Here, we share with you five life lessons we can learn from her.
During an interview with British Vogue in October 2021, ahead of the launch of ‘Easy On Me’, Adele opened up about how she listened to her inner voice, put herself first and end her marriage with Simon Konecki. “I would have been miserable had I not put myself first,” she said.
While letting go is easier said than done, holding onto things may only make things worse – this is something that Adele even conveyed through her song ‘Chasing Pavements’, which was part of her first album ‘19’ (2008).
It’s okay to not have all the answers - this is another lesson Adele teaches us via her recent interview. She revisited the period of her divorce and how her son tossed several questions at her to which Adele had no answers back then.
Adele pointed out that losing weight (she lost 45 kgs) was never her intention, but rather a way to focus on improving her mental health. “It was always about becoming strong and giving myself as much time every day without my phone,” said the singer who turned to the gym to deal with anxiety.
Being honest and owning up to your mistakes is another lesson we learn from the British singer. In her new release, ‘Easy On Me’, you see Adele reflecting on the times she went wrong while simultaneously asking for forgiveness and understanding.
