The prévue (French for preview) of Shah Rukh Khan’s much-awaited action film ‘Jawan’, directed by Arun (Atlee) Kumar, is out. The Gauri Khan-production will release on September 7, 2023, in three languages, including Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.
In the first 24 hours, the prévue video has earned over 112 million views across social media platforms. If you haven’t watched it yet, here are six reasons why you must.
King Khan in the lead role promises you all the elements of a good entertainer – from adventure, and action, to drama and mystery.
The prévue has several punchlines – from heroic to philosophical – that will strike a chord and make for amazing Instagram reel and photo captions.
The makers have roped in the likes of Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, Priyamani, Yogi Babu to play pivotal roles in ‘Jawan’. There is also a cameo by Deepika Padukone and it’s not an item song.
The prévue is full of masterfully choreographed action sequences that can give you an adrenaline rush.
There is an added mystery about whether SRK is a hero, an antihero, or a lead with shades of grey. The punchlines, though impactful, pose so many questions whose answers can only be found in the full movie.
What truly captures one’s attention towards the end of the prévue is a bald SRK dancing to a classic Hindi film song ‘Beqarar Karke Humein’ from ‘Bees Sal Bad’ in a metro coach. What is he doing there? Why is he dancing? So many questions!
