Do We Need To Celebrate International Men’s Day In 2022?

Celebrate International Men’s Day 2022 and learn about its significance, history and theme this year.

International Men’s Day date falls on Saturday, the 19th of November 2022. It is celebrated in 80 countries globally. Men's Day commemorates the values, character and responsibilities of being a man. As Mahatma Gandhi once said, “We must become the change we seek”. Therefore, men must become positive role models for young boys to break the boundaries of gender stereotypes and prevent them from continuing with future generations.

International Men’s Day 2022 also seeks to stir awareness in areas of men’s mental health by encouraging them to come forward and communicate. Biased societal norms have set unrealistic definitions of masculinity. These need to change to create a safe community that allows each gender the opportunity to prosper.
