Yami Gautam On a High As An NIA Officer In Article 370

Yami Gautam will be soon seen in 'Article 370', a film that revolves around the Kashmir issue. Here's what you can expect from the action-packed trailer.

Yami Gautam will again sizzle the big screen, this time with ‘Article 370’. The movie is based on the events that led to the special status of Jammu and Kashmir being revoked. The political drama film has been directed by Aditya Suhas, who has been a national-award-winning director. “Poora ka Poora Kashmir, Bharat Desh ka hissa tha, hai aur rahega, releasing in cinemas on 23rd February", was the intense caption written by the makers, on Instagram, when they dropped the trailer.

Yami, as seen in the trailer essays, the role of an intelligence officer, who herself is going through a tough time in her personal life. The two-minute, 40-second trailer shows the actress calling Kashmir a 'lost case'. Her frustration is seen, as the special status is making her life hell, as she is unable to do her work as an intelligence officer. The rise of terrorism, which is not unknown in Kashmir, is also shown, with extremists wanting control of the valley. Yami's character is later seen joining the NIA and is given a hand to carry out a mission in Kashmir. The government also takes a vow to remove Article 370. The trailer reflects how Yami, and the government remain strong despite political differences. The background score by Shashwat Sachdev shows tension in every scene.

The stellar cast apart from Yami also includes Priyamani, Arun Govil, Vaibhav Tatwawadi, Skand Thakur, Ashwini Koul, Kiran Karmarkar, Divya Seth Shah, Raj Zutshi, Sumit Kaul, Raj Arjun, Asit Gopinath Redij, Ashwani Kumar and Irawati Harshe Mayadev. The story has been written by Yami’s husband Aditya Dhar and Monal Thaakar, while the screenplay and dialogues have been done by Aditya Suhas Jambhale and Arjun Dhawan along with Aarsh Vora.
