Recipe for Chinese samosa

Follow the given step-by-step instructions to prepare homemade Chinese samosa:

  1. To prepare the samosa recipe, first boil the noodles as per package instructions. Once cooked, drain the water from the noodles and set aside.
  2. Heat oil in a pan, and to it add in the ginger, garlic and green chilli. Saute for a few seconds.
  3. Thereafter, add in the green beans, cabbage, carrots and bell peppers. Again, saute all the ingredients for about 2-3 minutes on high flame.
  4. Lower the flame and then add in the soy sauce, chilli sauce, schezwan sauce, vinegar and salt. Mix all the ingredients in the pan well.
  5. Add the boiled noodles along with the spring onions, mix everything well and cook on high flame. Stir the noodles for the samosa recipe continuously.
  6. Once the noodles for the samosa recipe filling are cooked, switch off the flame and let it cool.
  7. To prepare the slurry for the Chinese samosa, add the all-purpose flour and water to a bowl, and mix well until there are no lumps.
  8. Now to prepare the easy samosa recipe, take a samosa sheet and pick a corner to make the first fold. Apply the prepared slurry on the other side of the edge of the samosa sheet and fold it into a triangle.
  9. Hold the triangle and fill the pocket with a sufficient amount of the noodle stuffing that you had prepared. Make sure to fill in the noodles sufficiently so as to not leave any space for air pockets.
  10. Now, lightly pull the samosa sheet from the other side and fold it to make triangles. Once done, apply the slurry again to ensure that there are no loose ends. Repeat the procedure for all the other samosa patties.
  11. Heat oil in a frying pan, and then deep fry the Chinese samosas in the hot oil in batches. Keep the flame from medium to low temperature and fry the Chinese samosas until they turn golden brown in colour.
  12. Once all the samosas have been cooked, serve hot alongside ketchup or schezwan sauce.

Pro tip: You can add small chunks of paneer to the Chinese samosa filling for an enhanced taste and texture.
