Gordon Ramsay Restaurants To Launch Its Airport Dining Concepts In India

If airports are where you end up spending a lot of time, waiting to board your next flight, here's some good news. The British chef, restaurateur, and television personality's restaurant brand and Travel Food Services are bringing the Gordon Ramsay airport F&B outlets to India soon.

Hate dining at airports and never find that perfect burger or sandwich to make that long flight ahead seem bearable? Gordon Ramsay Restaurants is set to change that. The renowned F&B company has joined forces with Travel Food Services (TFS) to introduce Gordon Ramsay Plane Food, Street Pizza, Street Burger, and Gordon Ramsay Plane Food To-Go across major airports in India. This ambitious project aims to establish six restaurants across three of its distinct dining concepts by 2027, with the first locations slated to open in the first quarter of 2024.

Gordon Ramsay, globally recognised for his dynamic television shows and often interesting choice of vocabulary, is launching Street Pizza, Street Burger, and Gordon Ramsay Plane Food To-Go in India soon.

To give you a little glimpse into what each of these brands will serve, Gordon Ramsay Plane Food, which is originally from Terminal 5 at Heathrow Airport, London, is all about all-day dining – food you can eat anytime of the day – and you can choose from breakfasts to stuffed bread rolls and pastas to cheesecakes; Street Pizza draws inspiration from London’s vibrant street food culture to deliver artisanal pizzas; Street Burger serves gourmet burgers crafted from premium ingredients and bold flavours, and finally Plane Food To-Go, as the name suggests, is all about getting deliciousness packed and ready to be eaten on the flight if you want.

In a press note, Varun Kapur, executive director of TFS, said, “By collaborating with Gordon Ramsay Restaurants, we are furthering the food revolution in Indian airports that TFS has been passionately spearheading. Gordon Ramsay’s iconic brands will blend unmatched flavour and finesse, enhancing the dining experience for Indian travellers and making it truly unforgettable.”

Andy Wenlock, CEO of Gordon Ramsay Restaurants, added, “India’s rich culinary traditions and renowned hospitality make it an ideal canvas for our brands. Teaming up with Travel Food Services, Indian airports will now showcase our culinary journey, offering vibrant and intensely flavoured dining experiences.”
