Hot And Fresh: Have You Been To These New Restaurants In Bengaluru Yet?

Dig into deliciousness as Zee Zest brings you new launches from across the country every fortnight. We start with Bengaluru. You ready to eat out this week?

If you're on the hunt for new cafes, bars and restaurants in your city, we bring to you five places that you might like to try. We begin with Bengaluru that's going all modern - from fusion food to inspired ideas. Take a look:

1. Daysie

This delightfully fun all-day diner on MG Road now has a second outlet in Rajarajeshwari Nagar. And with that, the space has also added new things on the menu as well. But we love the classics, don’t we? The menu offers a blend of traditional and contemporary flavors in a welcoming atmosphere. From the good old regular Papadi Chaat to Butter Haleem on Toast (this is probably one of the best dishes on the menu, hands down), there’s a lot of playfulness on the menu people will enjoy. Here are some of the recommendations: Pork Chorizo, Champaran Chicken (a treat from Bihar), Laal Maas, Dum Nalli Gosht Masala, Dahi ke Kebab (a personal favourite), the Bheja Fry – we can go on. The beverage menu is as easy to get used to. And don’t forget to check out their cocktails; they may not be as experimental as you will find in some of the more new-age bars in town, but these are as good.

Where: RR Nagar

Meal for two: INR 2,000 (approx)

2. Bombay Brasserie

Bombay Brasserie’s newest outpost at Malleswaram’s Orion Mall showcases a progressive interpretation of recipes from various regional Indian cultures, and the bar menu features a blend of nostalgic favorites and inventive cocktails. We’ve always loved their signature ‘Pauwa Cocktails’ that came in a little quarter-sized bottle (thus the name ‘pauwa’) but this time, we absolutely dug their Smoked Murabba Barni, which has the sweetness of a murabba that’s perfect for the rainy weather, not to mention the ‘Angrezi Cocktails’ such as the Mexican Cafétini and Nutyy Port Manhattan. The food menu features dishes such as the Hot Kadhi Samosa Chaat, Mushroom Pepper Taco with a South Indian twist, and crispy Street Fried Chicken. One of their signatures, the Kashmiri naan with lamb seekh is still as good as it used to be. For hearty mains, the menu boasts Pulled Jackfruit Masala with Curried Butter Parotta, Punjabi Cooker Chicken with home-style garam masala, and Egg Tadka Biryani. Indulgent desserts include the Chocolate Rocky Road and Bombay Ice Cream Sandwich. Check it out if you’re heading that side anytime soon.

Inspired by the philosophy of fermentation, the restaurant’s menu showcases dishes from Rajasthan, Kashmir, Lucknow, Orissa, and Maharashtra, each crafted with a modern twist while honoring traditional techniques.
