Hrithik Roshan’s body and workout have always been fitness goals for us! From transforming into a fighter pilot for Fighter to a bona fide action star for War, Hrithik Roshan’s fitness has always been a talking point! Fans and professionals alike have been taken aback by Hrithik Roshan's physical metamorphosis, which has added to the hype around this highly anticipated movie. The actor has spilt the beans on his hard five-week exercise regimen—which left him looking toned and shredded with the help of fitness expert and trainer Swapneel Hazare, who was a key figure in his remarkable transformation.
If you have been wondering (like us!) everything about the HRX workout, the Hrithik Roshan gym, and the workout routine, here is a deep dive into everything you need to know about this fitness superstar!
The 'before and after' pictures show how much effort Roshan puts in. According to Hazare, the 50-year-old actor's fitness program included a combination of strength-focused exercises, rehabilitation, and core work. This allowed him to maintain flawless coordination for the action and dancing scenes.
Hrithik Roshan's gym and workout routine
Hrithik's goal of being ripped for action and dancing scenes informed his training regimen. In the mornings, the actor would usually do weight training for 60–70 minutes before moving on to cardio for 30–45 minutes. The actor went to two cardio sessions to get his chiselled and toned appearance. Despite its tailor-made nature, the actor's training routine included separate sections for his chest, shoulders, and abdominals. Roshan's training routines similarly revolved on compound lifts, with a few easy isolated exercises for assistance. Hazare used a combination of workouts that included several drop sets and supersets due to the little time available to attain this shredded appearance.
For 'a comprehensive approach to attain the desired results,' his 30-minute workouts include functional exercises like boxing, kettlebell training, battle ropes, and plyometrics. Hrithik will perform cardio at least once a day, and possibly twice a day, depending on his part in the casting process. As an additional option, the fitness trainer mentioned swimming, stairmaster rowing, elliptical training, or running. 'Changing up' your fitness regimen periodically is crucial!
Nutrition- an integral part of Hrithik Roshan’s daily routine
An integral aspect of Hrithik Roshan's fitness journey was meal planning. Each of the actor's six daily meals included a balanced mix of protein, fat, carbohydrates, and fibre from salads and vegetables. In his ‘bulking phase’, he increased his protein consumption to roughly 200-220 gms every meal, up from 120 gms per meal on average. The amount of carbohydrates in his diet, which initially consisted of around 150 gms of rice, pasta, or potatoes, was subsequently reduced to just 40 gms. Hydration was another important part of his diet, and the actor would drink over four litres of water every day.
Egg whites, poultry, whey protein, salmon, and ‘sources of complex carbs like oats, quinoa, rice and sweet potato’ are also part of the actor's diet and Hrithik usually has 6-7 meals in intervals. When he is unable to eat as frequently, he drinks the food in the form of smoothies. Whenever feasible, he tries to eat complete foods.
Sleep, rest and recovery
Because going through such a drastic change might induce inflammation in the body, his recuperation was given special attention. For the past eight years, Hrithik has adhered to a regular bedtime of nine o'clock and made sure to keep all electronics away from him so it wouldn't disrupt his sleep cycle. In order to unwind from his demanding training regimen, the actor experimented with various recuperation techniques and approaches, such as grounding, red light, hyperbaric chamber, ice baths, sauna, and massages.
