Easy to cook banana halwa

Simple, available at home ingredients, can be easily made in microwave without gas

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 large overipe nendran/Kerala bananas
  • 2 tablespoon desi ghee
  • Small pinch of salt
  • 4 tbsp jaggery
  • Half a cup boiling water
  • Halp tsp elaichi powder

PREPARATION

    Peel and mash the bananas to a pulp .

    Add ghee and microwave, stopping every 30 secs till 4 mins .

    Dissolve the jaggery in the boiling water and add to the ghee - banana mix .

    Add a pinch of salt to the mix .
  5. 5

    Microwave in 30s bursts, stirring in the intervals until dark brown Carmelized halwa is in a thick consistency. Allow it to cool and keep in fridge for 6 hours.

    The halwa is ready to eat. NOTE: My microwave is 700 watts so timings can vary depending on the size and power of your microwave.
