2 large overipe nendran/Kerala bananas
2 tablespoon desi ghee
Small pinch of salt
4 tbsp jaggery
Half a cup boiling water
Halp tsp elaichi powder
How to make Easy to cook banana halwa Recipe?
- Peel and mash the bananas to a pulp
- Add ghee and microwave, stopping every 30 secs till 4 mins
- Dissolve the jaggery in the boiling water and add to the ghee - banana mix
- Add a pinch of salt to the mix
- Microwave in 30s bursts, stirring in the intervals until dark brown Carmelized halwa is in a thick consistency. Allow it to cool and keep in fridge for 6 hours.
- The halwa is ready to eat. NOTE: My microwave is 700 watts so timings can vary depending on the size and power of your microwave.
