The new launches for February focus on carefree silhouettes, however this time in a tailored version, posing a beautiful juxtaposition of form and function. The typical winter hues, ranging from morbid neutrals to soul-pleasing pastels are the dominant tones with some brands bringing a fresh spin to an edit of ‘dark romance’ with bold prints and textures in warmer tones.

1. Masaba Jewels, House of Masaba 

Touted as the 'Queen of prints', designer Masaba Gupta knows how to expand her eponymous label, House of Masaba, whilst slamming stereotypical notions flamboyantly. After introducing menswear, the entrepreneur has moved on to jewellery that is unapologetically bold in spite of having the flair of traditional South Indian gold jewels. 
The collection offers mathapattis, chokers, nose rings, and rings that offer a bold take while meeting the dynamic style needs of the global woman and man today. 2. Elevated Athleisure, Redefine by Riddhi Doshi

There’s a new label in town for those looking for whimsical athleisure. Started by jewellery designer Riddhi Doshi, ‘Redefine’ with its signature athleisure can be defined as sophisticated, playful, and high-impact occasion wear that marries comfort with glamour. The collection is easy and fuss-free with vibrant prints in bold hues. Launched before Republic Day to honour an age-old craft, homegrown lifestyle brand Fabindia serves the purpose with its new Indigo collection. Entrenched in the intricacies of finessed craftsmanship, the collection is an ode to the timeless craft of using indigo dyes, dipped in decadent hues.  The vibrant yet cool collection takes pride in some of the most specialised heritage textile craft techniques the rich culture of India has to offer. 4. Cocktail Edit, Sawan Gandhi

Delhi-based fashion designer, Sawan Gandhi who has dressed the likes of Madhuri Dixit and Kriti Kharbanda launches ‘Illume’, a cocktail collection that revisits the grandeur of glamour and melodramatic celebrations. Inspired by the magical illumination of the night sky, the collection features sequinned sarees, lehengas, and bandhgala kurtas in shades of black and blue. The edit puts focus on drama and glamour with exquisite hand-craftsmanship over embroidered crystal glass beads, adding a slight edge to an otherwise clean monochromatic cocktail outfit. Known for his signature mirror work design, Delhi-based designer Abhinav Mishra’s new capsule collection, ‘Postcards from Sanjana’, presents a brilliant juxtaposition of the old world charm with the modern era. The name of the collection is an ode to the magic of handwritten notes and love letters, which the designer has phenomenally encapsulated through a series of postcards inscribed by Bollywood actress, Sanjana Sanghi. Featuring pastel ensembles, from lehengas to sharara sets, with sequin and mirror work detailing—the whole edit exudes the classical charm and elegance of a bygone era. The jewellery played a supercritical role in enhancing the aesthetes of the edit, and the glorious gems by Parekh Ornaments worn in the campaign perfectly reflect and colligate the old-world charm.

7. Martini Collection, tara and i

11. Upcycled collection, Shaye

High-street fashion brand, Shaye has launched a new upcycled clothing collection. The new collection features shirts, blouses, t-shirts, and accessories like headbands and scrunchies—each using a pastiche of beautiful, leftover fabric pieces. Launched in 2016, Delhi-based designer Shweta Aggarwal’s new collection ‘Stroke by Stroke’ features a mood board of beautiful fusion of threads, beads, and a medley of aesthetic hues. The collection is a seamless amalgamation of bling and solemn tones. The collection emphasises pret wear with saturated colours, dramatic silhouettes, and other elements donning a spirit of sophistication. 14. Winter’22, SAND by Shirin

Shirin Mann, the founder of one of India’s most-loved jutti label, Needledust, launched her conscious label—SAND (an acronym for ‘such a nice day’) by Shirin in 2021. With a predominantly earthy colour palette, the label focuses on easy yet crisp, minimal yet bold wearables. Their winter collection offers fluid fits and handcrafted finesse in breezy and chic ensembles that can be worn from day to night easily. With a deeper and warmer colour palette - ivory, oatmeal, pink, black, and silver, these soothing colours in impactful silhouettes have a ‘tailored to flow’ structure. 15.  Nightfall, House of Soi

New-age high-street label House of Soi, which started in the mid of the pandemic in 2020, is all about flirty and carefree ensembles in bold prints and flattering silhouettes. The newest collection titled ‘Nightfall’ features moody dark hues brought together with a dash of glam and sheen. The collection embodies their signature floral prints, set against shimmer fabrics to add that touch of oomph. You can find easy-breezy silhouettes done in a structured manner, putting forward a beautiful contradiction of form and function. 
The pieces are fitted with a corset structure and dramatic sleeves or shoulders which include pleated fabric, thread detailing, and deep necklines.
