Ayodhya Story: Celebrities Who Made Generous Contributions Towards Ram Mandir Construction

The much-awaited grand consecration ceremony at Ram Temple in Ayodhya took place on January 22, 2024. It was a grand and pompous affair. The celebration was done not just by Hindus in India but globally. There have been many Bollywood stars who have taken part in the construction of India's historic Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. These celebrities showed their dedicated commitment to the mandir project. Here, take a look at the list of celebrities who have made noteworthy contributions to the Ram Temple construction.

It was in January 2021 that the Khiladi of Bollywood shared a clip encouraging the masses to contribute, in small or large amounts, towards the construction of the Ram temple. He expressed happiness about the inititation of Lord Ram's temple and had written in his caption, "Delighted to share that the construction of our magnificent Shri Ram temple has commenced in Ayodhya... Now it's our chance to contribute. I've taken the first step; hope you will join us too. Jai Siyaram."

It was in February 2021 that the Shaktiman actor posted a tweet with a picture confirming that he had contributed a cheque worth Rs 1.1 lakh towards the mandir construction.

It was on October 2, 2023, that he posted a clip from his trip to Ayodhya in which he mentioned that he had donated bricks for the construction of the temple.

Bollywood's ‘Dream Girl’ has donated a generous amount, which has not been disclosed. She has also been an active participant in the Ayodhya Ram Mandir construction.

Bollywood star Manoj Joshi, who is known for his comedy roles in films like Dhoom, Bhagam Bhag Chup Chup Ke and Bhool Bhulaiyaa also made a generous contribution to the Ayodhya Ram Mandir construction.

Media reports state that South star Pawan Kalyan made a generous donation of Rs 30 lakh for the construction of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. The actor in his press statement had also emphasised on Lord Ram being the epitome of sacrifice, bravery, tolerance and dharma.

On the flip side, Tiger Shroff, Jackie Shroff, Rajinikanth, Amitabh Bachchan, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Randeep Hooda, Anushka Sharma, and many other stars were invited to Ayodhya to attend the Pran Pratishtha ritual and seek the divine blessings.
