INGREDIENTS
For Brahmi Dal Fry
1 cup soaked yellow lentils
water as required
1 tbsp dried brahmi leaves
1 tsp turmeric powder
rock salt to taste
4 tsp ghee
½ tsp asafoetida
½ tsp cumin seeds
1 tbsp chopped ginger
½ tsp turmeric powder
1 cup chopped tomatoes
rock salt to taste
water as required
freshly chopped coriander leaves
ghee for garnish
fresh coriander for garnish
PREPARATION
- Soak 1 cup yellow lentils for 2 hours and then strain the excess water.

- In a pressure cooker, add yellow lentils, 1 tbsp dried brahmi leaves, 1 tsp turmeric powder, rock salt and let it cook properly.

- Heat 4 tsp ghee in a pan and add 1/2 tsp asafoetida, 1/2 tsp cumin seeds, 1 tbsp chopped ginger, 1/2 tsp turmeric powder, 1 cup chopped tomatoes, rock salt to taste and let it cook.

- Add the cooked dal into tadka and mix it well. Brahmi dal fry is ready.

- Garnish it with ghee and fresh coriander and serve it with vegetable paratha.
