INGREDIENTS
For Piyush
1 cup shrikhand
1 cup buttermilk
1 cup milk
3 tsp jaggery powder
1/4 tsp cardamom powder
1/4 tsp nutmeg powder
3-4 saffron strands
2 tbsp mixed dry fruits
saffron strands for garnish
PREPARATION
- In a bowl add 1 cup shrikhand, 1 cup buttermilk, 1 cup milk and stir it properly.

- Add 3 tsp jaggery, ¼ tsp cardamom powder, ¼ tsp nutmeg powder, saffron, chopped mixed dry fruits to the prepared mixture.

- Garnish it with saffron strands and mixed dry fruits.

- Piyush is ready to serve.

STEP BY STEP
Piyush is a cold beverage. It is a coolant drink for summer. Piyush is made by combining shrikhand and buttermilk and is infused with saffron and cardamom, and nutmeg powders. According to Ayurveda, Shrikhand (made from hung yogurt) is excellent for gut health, bone health and digestion. The addition of buttermilk (a popular summer drink) to shrikhand makes Piyush. This drink cools you in the summers.
