Ingredients For Ragi Ambali Recipe

  • For Ragi Ambali

    • 2 tbsp ragi flour

    • salt

    • 1 tsp cumin powder

    • 1 tbsp jaggery powder

    • a pinch of asafoetida

    • 1 chopped onion

    • 1/2 cup curd

  • For tempering

    • ghee

    • 1 tsp roasted cumin powder

    • curry leaves

    • 1 tbsp lemon juice

How to make Ragi Ambali Recipe?

  1. In bowl, mix ragi flour with salt and cumin powder. Add water to it and mix well.
  2. Boil water in a pan and add ragi mixture to it. Stir continuously.
  3. Add a pinch of asafoetida and chopped onions to it and cook for some time.
  4. Switch off the flame, add curd and salt and mix well.
  5. For tempering, heat ghee in a pan and add roasted cumin powder and curry leaves to it.
  6. Pour this tempering over the ragi soup, mix well and then add the lemon juice.
  7. Remove in a bowl, garnish with coriander leaves and ghee and serve hot.
