The much-awaited 2021 Cannes Film Festival has finally begun. And, after a gap of more than a year because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the event in its 74th edition once again welcomed the who's who of the film industry from across the globe, to its famed red carpet. While the festival opened with some eye-catching looks donned by the stars, here are 10 from the list that caught our attention.

Opening the 74th Cannes Film Festival was supermodel Bella Hadid in a vintage Jaun Paul Gaultier white backless gown with a black cross halter neck with a sheer veil train. Not to mention the diamonds from the Chopard's Haute Joaillerie collection. Her hair was neatly done in the form of a bun, and she walked all glamorous in black pumps.

Annette star Marion Cotillard dazzled the red carpet in a one shoulder silver Chanel dress with peplum detail and  bling so strong, it sparkled at every click. Complimenting her dress were her grey heels and long gemstone earrings.

A nude toned, V neck, floor-length, Etro jumpsuit, with silver sequence, and long fringed sleeves, is what model Candice Swanepoel walked the Cannes red carpet in. She paired the dress with Pomellato chainlink jewellery, and flaunted a middle parted, long, straight hairdo.

Vampire Diaries star, Kat Graham, sizzled at the red carpet in an Etro strapless patterned gown with metallic dots, green beads, and a V shaped corset. She paired it with golden sandals and Pomellato jewellery. And, to complete the look she went for subtle make-up and middle parted fringes.

Another actor to dazzle at the red carpet in an all-black look was Isabelle Huppert who donned a Balenciaga turtleneck column gown. Paired with Chopard jewellery, and a pair of shades, the French actress sure turned heads at the event with her choice of attire.

The American actress who made her Cannes red carpet debut back in 1976, at the age 13 for her film, Taxi Driver, walked in again at 58, in a pearl white Givenchy gown and Chopard jewellery, to receive her Palme d'Or Life Achievement Award.

A Celine gown and a cream-coloured cape is what the 43-year-old actor, producer, Maggie Gyllenhaal wore at the red carpet. One of the jury members at Cannes this year, Gyllenhaal complimented her dress with Chopard diamond hoops. Her minimal makeup, and bob cut hair did justice to the overall look.

Shinning in bright yellow at the red carpet was award-winning actor, Helen Mirren, who wore a custom made Dolce & Gabbana dress. With her ankle length, sweetheart neckline outfit, she carried a gold clutch and donned an emerald jewellery set comprising  a neckpiece and earrings; and her yellow heels completed her look.

Actress Andie McDowell turned eyes at the red carpet in a Prada silver-grey dress. Crystal encrusted bodice and sea green skirt, complimented by a silver clutch and sandals, and her naturally grey hair, made her look glamorous as ever at the 2021 event.

Actor, producer Jessica Chastain caught the paparazzi at the Cannes 2021 red carpet in a black, strapless Dior gown, and ruby-diamond Chopard jewellery. The two-time Oscar nominee carried a messy ponytail and a side parting elegantly.
