December is the month we wait for--to receive our Christmas presents and welcome the New Year. And as both the occasions call for a grand party, we understand the pressure to dress up. While, you are busy sorting out your clothes, shoes, and hair—we have curated a list of six stellar eyeliner looks to steal from celebrities this year, to help you stun this party season.

This new eyeliner trend that gives the cat-eye an extra edge is one you must embrace this Christmas and New Year's Eve. The look, donned by actor Shraddha Kapoor, is an upgrade from your regular winged eyeliner—as it shifts the focus from the upper lash line to the lower one. It’s fairly easy to recreate too. To add a smokey effect on top, smudge the mascara on your lower lash line and apply some black eyeshadow all over the lids.

Another look to try this year is the smudged black eyeliner if you want something different from the run-of-the-mill. Here, Deepika Padukone has opted for a thick eyeliner stroke both on the upper and on the lower lash line, joining the two to form a wing. Paired with a brown eyeshadow with some glitter on the inner corner, mascara, and thick brows—the entire look on an otherwise nude palette is the perfect way to let your eyes do all the talking.

If you are a beginner and applying an elaborate winged eyeliner is nothing short of a nightmare, then this classic look is perfect for you. The queen of nude makeup, Bhumi Pednekar, goes for a single stroke with a slight upward wing. To elevate this look from basic to chic, she highlighted the inner corners of her eyes and used a pearlescent eyeshadow all over her lid. This is a neat and sleek look you can don with any party outfit.

Disha Patani looks hot as ever as she goes for a dramatic winged eyeliner with her rust ruched bodycon dress that she paired with pinkish-nude lip colour and messy waves. Her entire look qualifies for a night spent clubbing on New Year's Eve. The minimal make-up allows all the attention to go to her eyes, where the extended wing creates drama.

If you are not a fan of wings, then this natural eyeliner look is for you. Makeup artist Yumi More keeps the eyeliner restricted only to Priyanka Chopra's upper lash lines with a slight extension towards the edges. This accentuates her natural eye shape while making her look lively at the same time. This eyeliner trick is perfect for when you're in a rush but don’t want to leave the house without wearing eyeliner.

In this look by makeup artist Heema Dattani, actor Sonakshi Sinha flaunts nothing but a basic eyeliner on her big eyes. Here she keeps the lining on the under-eye to a bare minimum with a light smudged kajal, which shifts the entire focus to the done-to-perfection eyeliner and mascara game. This look is yet another simple option to consider if you’re not a fan of over-the-top eye make-up.
