May it be her wedding pictures that sent the world into a tizzy, or her recent outing at the National Awards, Alia Bhatt never fails to stun. Always dressed impeccably, Alia is often seen sporting the no makeup or barely there makeup look that shows off her glowing skin.

No matter what she’s dressed in, ethnic or Western outfits, Alia Bhatt’s makeup look makes her shine. The actress keeps it simple and prefers lighter shades like barely there pink, and mauvy nudes. Makeup artist Puneet B Saini who did Alia Bhatt’s makeup for her wedding chose to go for the most translucent base and peachy blush. Instead of a sharp look, he utilised blush to create a gentle contour. As disclosed by the actress in a recent video, the lip colour of choice was universally beloved Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk. In comparison to the general trend of highlighting the high points of the face, Puneet went for a mellow pearly finish.

For her recent outing at the National Awards, her dewy makeup was done by makeup artist Mickey Contractor. Lauded for repeating her wedding saree, styled more subtly, Alia switched her wavy hairstyle for an updo.

To achieve this dewy look, make sure to use a primer before you get started with makeup. If you have dry skin, go for a water-based primer, and if you have oily skin, go for a silicon-based primer. For the finish, add just a bit of liquid highlighter to your foundation or CC cream. CC creams are a better choice if you want a lighter finish, and foundations if you want a higher coverage.

For eyes, skip black eyeliner, and go for a very light nude-brown base. A very light coat of mascara and sparsely used falsies work wonders. For lips, if you are fair, Alia’s favourite Pillow Talk is a great shade. In case you’re on the darker side, the same lip colour comes in a darker shade too.

Seal the makeup look with a finishing spray of your choice, dewy for dry skin, and matte for oily skin. That said, makeup goes only so far, and skincare is imperative for a good base to work with. No matter how occupied you are, this simple skincare routine for busy bees is all you need.
