Every bride wants to look her best on her wedding day. And for inspiration, it is always a good idea to look up B-town divas who have wooed us with their ultra-glamorous wedding looks—then be it on-screen or off-screen. If you wish to look for outfit ideas for your nikah, Gauahar Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan’s wardrobe should be on your watchlist, along with a few others.

That’s why we’re highlighting the details of Kareena's iconic nikah sharara as well as other celebrity outfits that can serve as a perfect inspiration for your big day.

Before we decode Kareena’s wedding outfit, we would like to share a fun fact with you! Apart from hardcore Bebo fans, very few people know that Kareena wore the same lehenga that her mother-in-law and veteran actress Sharmila Tagore sported for her nikah with Nawab Mohammad Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi.

The K3G actor's sharara set included a rust-hued kurta in tissue, a matching dupatta with gold embroidery, and a contrasting colour sharara with a mint green border. Legendary designer Ritu Kumar offered a helping hand to Kareena to restore and embellish the heirloom ensemble in a contemporary style.

It took six months to refurbish the royal Bhopali joda. According to the designer, the tail of the odhani was made shorter to provide comfort to the bride. On the other hand, to complete the Begum look, Kareena embraced a statement choker, earrings, a maang tikka, and a passa. Keep your make-up minimal and tie a bun to amp up your look.

Our next celeb is none other than Bigg Boss fame Gauahar Khan. The actress tied the knot with YouTuber and influencer Zaid in December 2020. Speaking about her dreamy nikah outfit, Khan opted for a customised ensemble designed by Pakistani fashion designer Saira Shakira. The sharara featured intricate zari work with resham thread.

She chose an ivory-coloured sharara and teamed it with a knee-length kurti. The heavily adorned kurti with sequin work was a treat for sore eyes. The handcrafted exquisite maharani jewellery amped up her royal look. Subtle makeup and bold red lips complemented her nikah look perfectly. Her fresh and light makeup with neutral shades completed the look.

Emanating modern glamour with hand embroidery and gota patti, Sana Khan's nikah outfit is perfect for those wanting a trendy outfit that is also timeless. Clad in heavy jewellery, Sana embraced an organza dupatta with heavy sequin work. In a Poonams Kaurture outfit, which was crafted in dupion crepe, Sana's walima attire captured all its grace to acknowledge traditions. The huge mathapatti, heavy traditional necklace and earrings, as well as hathphool added to her overall look.

The Jai Ho actress donned a handful of traditional outfits for her various wedding festivities. Just scroll through her Instagram feed, and you will find a treasure trove of outfit ideas.

Apart from celebrities’ real-life wedding outfits, here is some more inspiration you can take from celebs in reel-life.

The moment the song Deewani Mastani was released, it became an instant hit. And one of the reasons was (obviously) Mastani’s style. The Bajirao Mastani costume gained so much popularity within a short period of time that social media was flooded with Deepika's stills from the song.

Deepika’s iconic look from the film features a backless Anarkali-style blouse, a layered skirt with brocade lining, and a pair of palazzo pants.

The lehenga she wore in the film teamed a full-sleeved blouse with a sheer bottom adorned with floral thread work and sequins is another look to take inspiration from for your nikah. The bold gota patti borders on the skirt took the overall look to perfection.

The jewellery pieces also played a vital role in elevating the regal style of the lehenga. Deepika's stylist for the film picked a gold haath phool, maang tikka with pearls, passa and a kundan choker to complement her detailed dress, which makes the Mastani dress an ideal choice for your wedding.

Tip: Take a good look at the borders and embroidery of your lehenga for the big day while keeping in mind that jewellery pieces are also equally important, especially if you want to recreate this look for your wedding.

Bollywood actress and producer Anushka Sharma's wardrobe in ADHM is something that every girl wishes for. Each look of the actor in the Karan Johar directorial managed to make heads turn. One of them was her wedding look in the film.

Interestingly, the reel look is good enough to be recreated in real. Flaunting a quintessential Indian ethnic look, Anushka looked like a Begum in the salmon kurta-style blouse and a red lehenga skirt with zardozi work. The Manish Malhotra outfit also features eye-catchy jewellery pieces that include a layered polki necklace with emerald beads and matching earrings, a statement ring, a nath and a passa. Her soft smoky eyes with nude lips balance her minimal yet impactful look.

Which look would you prefer for your big day?
