Chopard, the Swiss jeweller, that has been dressing up screen divas for the Cannes Red Carpet for the past 25 years, is responsible for making some of the world’s leading ladies look ethereal. Each of the pieces these actors wear on the red carpet is thus called the Red Carpet Collection. From Andie McDowell, Uma Thurman, Isabelle Huppert, Juliette Binoche, Sharon Stone and Julia Roberts and Sonam Kapoor, each of these legendary actresses have left a stunning imprint on the images from the film festival over the years.

The 2022 edition of the Cannes Festival is not only the 75th year of the film festival but also its 25th year of the association with Chopard, the leading Swiss jeweller, who has been the official sponsor of the festival since 1988 creating cinema-themed high jewelry collection. To honour this partnership, Chopard has also unveiled a special edition of the stunning Palme d'Or trophy, the most prestigious award reserved for the best film.

The artistic director and co-president of Chopard, Caroline Scheufele, chose to revisit the Palme d’Or trophy by setting two of its tiny leaves with diamonds, sourced from suppliers that are certified by the Responsible Jewellery Council. One will be graced with 75 diamonds symbolising the festival's jubilee, while the other will feature 25 diamonds to set the quarter-century of the partnership with Chopard in stone.

The Fairmined-certified 18-carat yellow gold Palme will not be placed on the traditional rock crystal cushion, but instead on a base made of rose quartz – a stone symbolising love.

Back to the jewellery, let’s talk a look at some of the stunning Chopard pieces leading ladies wore on the red carpet over the years.
